July 30 – J. Mart Armstrong, Founder, The Armstrong Company

Our Guest for the July 30th edition of PlayMakers Talk Show: J. Mart Armstrong, Founder, The Armstrong Company

J. Mart Armstrong, Founder, The Armstrong Company

J. Mart Armstrong established The Armstrong Company in 1987 as a result of commercial and industrial property owners’ need for consultants that could properly evaluate the fair market value of complex real and personal property.  The Armstrong Company’s well-supported valuation report is the basis for their determination of whether a property has been fairly assessed and is the foundation for any subsequent appeals.

The philosophy of The Armstrong Company is to handle a limited number of properties, thereby being able to expend the maximum time and resources necessary to properly represent each of their clients. This has enabled The Armstrong Company to outperform the competition with average reductions in excess of 38%.

A graduate of Texas Tech University, Mart began his career in the property tax field in 1979 as a commercial appraiser for a nationwide contract valuation company. Mart’s duties included commercial and industrial appraisals, as well as giving expert testimony before Appraisal Review Board hearings.

The idea that representing fewer properties would allow more time for thorough research and asset valuation that resulted in greater overall property tax reductions led to the conception of The Armstrong Company.
