Todd Meier, Mayor – Addison, TX

2013 Mayor's Official PhotoBefore being elected Mayor in 2011, Todd Meier served as a member of the Addison Town Council and as vice chairman of the Town’s Planning and Zoning Committee.  He is currently serving as Vice President of the Metroplex Mayor’s Association.

Currently an attorney with Shackelford, Melton & McKinley, LLP in Dallas, Todd counsels clients in the technology, manufacturing, financial services, commodities, and service industries. He works with individuals and businesses on transactional and operational matters, and provides litigation services as needed.

He is a former assistant district attorney for Dallas County, where he tried more than 300 jury trials during his tenure. Todd is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Dallas Bar Association, and Fellows of the Texas Bar Foundation.

Todd’s business career included serving as president and general manager of Rodger Meier Cadillac, Meier Oldsmobile, and Meier Infiniti, one the most successful and well-known auto dealership groups in Dallas.

As head of a private investment firm he founded in 1998, Todd reviews, analyzes, and performs due diligence on investment prospects and assists in transactions involving start-up businesses to mid-size private equity investments.

He has two children: Brennan, a recent SMU Law School graduate currently clerking for US District Judge Jane Boyle, and Mackenzie a recent Wake Forest Master’s degree graduate now working as a business analyst at PWC.

John Roehll, Executive Vice-President and Partner – Dependable Auto Shippers

John Roehll serves as executive vice president and partner at Dependable Auto Shippers, one of the largest vehicle relocation companies in the United States representing corporate and retail clients since 1954.

The company ships vehicles of all types including cars, recreational vehicles, trucks, antique cars, motorcycles, custom cars, ATVs, boats, vans, and even planes.  Based in Mesquite, Texas, Dependable Auto Shippers has branch offices near Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Atlanta.

Roehll is responsible for guiding the overall strategic direction of the company, as well as business development for all revenue channels. This year marks his 20th anniversary with the company.

He is a member of the Employee Relocation Council (ERC), American Moving and Storage Association (AMSA) and the American Auto Auction Association.

Evelyn Costolo, CEO Wipe Out Kids' Cancer

Evelyn Costolo is CEO of Wipe Out Kids’ Cancer (WOKC), a Dallas-based nonprofit organization dedicated to raising funding and awareness for childhood cancer research.  Founded in 1980, Wipe Out Kids’ Cancer has raised over $4 million in the crusade against childhood cancer and spent over 30 years funding programs to not only fight childhood cancer, but to also provide hope and support to kids and families battling cancer.

Costolo has a strong track record in leadership positions including highly successful fund-raising roles for several Dallas non-profit groups.  She held multiple positions with Junior League of Dallas from 1999 through 2010:  Financial Vice President, Development Vice President (where her team exceeded goal and netted more than $1 million), Community Volunteer Fair chair, and Research and Development Chair (where she led a 45 person committee that allocated $1 million and 1,500 volunteers to the Dallas community.

Costolo was a member of the Texas Ballet Theater’s Council of Patrons, and a past member of the board of directors of Community Partners of Dallas and of Victims Outreach.  She served on the Ways and Means Committee of University Park Elementary, and currently serves on the Advisory Board of SMU’s Kappa Kappa Gamma, and was the 2009 chair of the Expanding Worlds luncheon. She lives with her husband and two children in University Park.

Michael Gibbons, Former FBI Chief of Computer Investigations, Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal and speaker at The America’s Future Series: CYBER SECURITY SUMMIT

J. Michael Gibbons is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal’s Global Forensic and Dispute Services industry and a strategic information security specialist with over 25 years of experience on a global scale.

Mr. Gibbons offers a proven record of improving processes, reducing costs and mitigating risks by developing and implementing technical solutions that enable secure, reliable information sharing and computing for such major organizations such as Marriott, JPMorgan Chase, FDIC, ING, Freddie Mac, USAA, Department of Homeland Security, and F.B.I.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Gibbons was a Principal at Deloitte & Touche, LLP, where he directly managed security services delivery at a major financial services client and three US federal agencies. Mr. Gibbons worked directly with the chief information security officer (CISO) and external audit staff to remove audit findings at a financial services regulator, and prepared a long-term strategic vision for security for a large US Agency.

For more than five years, Mr. Gibbons was a Managing Director at BearingPoint, and was a Vice President for Security Services for Unisys for three years where he implemented a Security Operations Center that monitored the network security of three major U.S. Agencies including the TSA.

Mr. Gibbons served a 15-year tenure at the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), most recently as Special Agent, Chief of the Computer Investigations Unit, where key highlights included overseeing all cyber crime investigations for the FBI, nationally and internationally. In 1995 he established and led the largest Federal Health Care Fraud Task Force in the nation, still in operation today. The most notable investigation led by Mr. Gibbons was documented in the New York Times Bestselling book titled “The Cuckoo’s Egg”, which resulted in three convictions for cyber espionage in German Federal Court.
