Scott Miller, President & CEO,  Interstate Batteries

Scott Miller has served Interstate Batteries in multiple key positions since starting with the company in 1991 as a route sales manager before taking on company roles as national account executive and manager, independent distributor regional manager, director of marketing, director of Interstate-owned territories, vice president of creative communications and events, vice president of Interstate All Battery and most recently as senior vice president of distributor operations & innovation team.  And on May 1, the 44-year-old assumed a new role as president and CEO of Interstate Battery System of America.

Scott might best be described as an outward expression of Interstate’s unique personality. Expert, friendly, trustworthy, fun, humorous, caring, and smiling – he exudes all those attributes.  Miller is a strong advocate of the company’s vision statement driving his and the enterprise’s thought process of serving customers.

Married and the father of three children, Miller graduated from Colorado Christian University with a bachelor’s degree in business management.

Brent Harman, CEO, Sonny Bryan’s Smokehouse

There are few things in life that Texans take more seriously than family and barbecue. Sonny Bryan’s Smokehouse CEO Brent Harman, is about as Texan as they come. Since birth, he has lived, worked and thrived in The Lone Star State. He attended Hyer Elementary and Highland Park High School in Dallas and graduated with a Bachelors of Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin in 1995.

After college, Brent helped open a new Sonny Bryan’s store in Grapevine and was the assistant manager at the location for two years. After briefly leaving Sonny Bryan’s to get his MBA from Baylor University, he returned to manage the opening of the Richardson restaurant in 1998. Since then, he has served as Vice President of Operations, Vice President of Development, and was named President and CEO in 2004. He also served a three-year term on the Texas Restaurant Board of Directors and joined the Young Presidents Organization in 2010.

When he’s not overseeing Sonny Bryan’s, Brent enjoys spending time with his wife Elle (co-owner of Warren Barrón Bridal) and three children, Ainsley, McKay and “Doc.” As an avid hunter and fisherman, he is a fan of the outdoors. In January 2009, he climbed Mount Kilimanjaro and has participated in several local marathons.
