Eric Affeldt is President & CEO of ClubCorp, “The World Leader in Private Clubs.”  He’s responsible for all aspects of domestic and international operations for ClubCorp.  Prior to joining ClubCorp, Affeldt served as a principal of KSL Capital Partners, the private equity firm that purchased ClubCorp in 2006. In 2010 Affeldt was named “The Most Powerful Person in Golf” by Golf Inc. magazine and was a regional finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award.

Melinda Marcus

Melinda Marcus developed inPSYCHS (sounds like insights) based on her award-winning work in creative marketing and proven studies in the Science of Influence. Her research-based programs have empowered executives to gain buy-in from their prospects, clients and boards. As a direct result, her clients have successfully closed more than $250 million in contracts.

Before starting her own firm, Melinda was the first female Creative Director at The Richards Group. During her career, she earned honors as one of the “Ten Outstanding Young Working Women in America” by Glamour magazine and “One of the Five Women to Watch in the Southwest” by ADWEEK magazine. She has won more than 100 awards for excellence in the advertising industry, including CLIOS and a Silver Lion at Cannes.

National and regional clients – including Fortune 500 companies and Fortune 100 privately held companies – have tapped Melinda’s expertise in the Science of Influence, creative marketing and communications. She earned her B.A. with Honors in Psychology from Northwestern University and her M.F.A. in Mass Communications from Southern Methodist University. Karen Hughes is President & CEO of Vogel Alcove, a non-profit organization providing childcare and comprehensive social services for homeless children in Dallas. Since taking the helm in January 2011, Hughes has worked to strengthen internal processes in order to best support the children and families of Vogel Alcove.

Under her tenure, Vogel Alcove’s 2012 Arts Performance Event, which raises half the organization’s budget, was the most successful in its history, raising $2.6 million for the homeless children of Dallas. Partnerships were formed with famous faces, now supporters of Vogel Alcove, including Dallas Mavericks’ Jason Kidd and celebrity Chef Lisa Garza.

Prior to joining Vogel Alcove, Hughes was the President & CEO at The Campagna Center, an organization which operates high-quality programs that support children in Alexandria, Virginia, by providing services that allow them to arrive at school ready to learn and ensure they are academically successful at each grade level. Hughes resume includes positions as Associate Executive Director/COO at National Association for the Education of Young Children and Director, Child Care Services at Houston Community
College.
