Vince Sullivan, President, Southern Dock Products & Duraserv

Vince Sullivan is President of Southern Dock Products and parent company Duraserv. Southern Dock is a Dallas based distributor and service provider of Loading Dock Systems, Commercial Doors and Hi-Speed specialized doors. Having 18 offices throughout Texas, the Sunbelt, the Northeast U.S. and Canada, DuraServ operates under brand names such as Just Rite and Overhead Door of Austin, New Orleans and South Florida.

In 1988 Vince and two co-managers acquired Serco, a Canadian-based manufacturer of dock equipment and doors. The business was sold to a public company in 1994 and Vince stayed as President until 2001. Through organic growth and acquisition Serco became the largest manufacturer of dock levelers in the world.

In 2001 Vince joined Southern Dock, a distributor for Serco. Since that time, Southern has grown from 45 employees to 300. With sales over $110 million in 2016, the business has added 80 employees in the last 18 months.

Mark Parmerlee, President & CEO, Golden Chick

Mark Parmerlee began his career in the restaurant industry at only 15-years-old washing dishes. Mark worked in the hospitality and commercial real estate industries throughout the years until an old acquaintance asked him to become the operating partner of Golden Chick (formerly known as Golden Fried Chicken) in March of 1989. Mark agreed to join Golden Chick while they were filing for bankruptcy.

Founded almost 50 years ago in San Marcos, Golden Chick is a family-oriented, quick-service restaurant that prides itself on perfecting its Golden Fried Chicken, Golden Roast Chicken and Golden Tenders®, along with offering a variety of other chef-inspired menu items.
